ORGANIC SYNTHESIS
We have a pluriannual expertise in the use of light as source of green, clean and low-cost energy to perform chemical reactions. Our optimized irradiation setups allow us to achieve high levels of reproducibility, versatility and scalability.
APPLIED PHOTOCHEMISTRY
Thanks to its intrinsic advantages in terms of spatial resolution and tunability, light is considered a tool of choice in fields ranging from technology to biology. Over the past few years, we have successfully developed a number of photoinitiators for microlitography and embarked on a study to test such compounds. Similarly, we developed an innovative photochemical route to highly energetic intermediates that are known to cause oxidative DNA cleavage and cell death. We are now testing this approach to develop chemotherapeutic agents.
