Elena Cassera received her master's degree in chemistry from the University of Pavia in 2023, under the supervision of Prof. Maurizio Fagnoni and Prof. Davide Ravelli.

Elena is currently a second year PhD student in a PhD program, co-founded by Indena SpA, under the supervision of Prof. Maurizio Fagnoni and Prof. Stefano Protti.

Her research subject focuses on the development and optimization of novel higly-selective photocatalyzed synthetic processes, with a particular interest on the derivatization of complex substrates, including compounds of pharmaceutical interest.
